Milorad Dodik comments on French political instability and Marine Le Pen

Milorad Dodik, president of the SNSD, has commented on the current political climate in France, noting that the country is entering a period of significant decisions that will shape its future. He highlighted that ahead of the 2027 presidential elections, France is facing economic pressures, a crisis of confidence in institutions, and challenges regarding public safety.

Dodik condemned recent violence on French streets, distinguishing between the democratic right to peaceful protest and acts of arson, looting, and attacks on police, which he characterized as violence rather than political protest. He suggested that the issues championed by Marine Le Pen—such as national sovereignty, the democratic will of the people, and the authority of domestic institutions—are gaining increased importance in the current context.

Furthermore, Dodik argued that discussions regarding the future of Europe should encompass cultural and historical identity, Christian heritage, and the preservation of national traditions, rather than being limited to economic matters and the division of powers between Brussels and national states.
