Milorad Dodik holds political rally in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Milorad Dodik, the former president of Republika Srpska, held a political rally in his hometown of Mrčajevci, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to support candidates from the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD).

During the event, Dodik expressed support for Donald Trump and acknowledged his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He described the United States as the “globally strongest power” and stated a need for political victory to establish the region correctly.

Dodik is currently barred from holding public office following actions taken by Christian Schmidt, the former high representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, who removed him after Dodik unilaterally amended the country’s criminal code in July 2023.
