Republika Srpska engages Canadian lobbyists to pursue independence agenda

Milorad Dodik, leader of the SNSD, continues to advocate for the preservation of Republika Srpska's autonomy and a return to the original Dayton Agreement. In recent political developments, Dodik has emphasized that despite legal challenges and a prison sentence, the essence of the entity's institutions remains intact. He has also expressed support for Aleksandar Vučić in upcoming Serbian elections, noting that the two leaders continue to coordinate plans despite neither currently holding a presidency.

Simultaneously, documents filed with the US Department of Justice reveal that the Republika Srpska government engaged the Canadian lobbying firm Dickens & Madson (D&M) in 2025. The contract, which included an immediate $2,000,000 upfront payment, aims to strengthen the entity's position and pursue the ultimate goal of independence from Bosnia and Herzegovina. D&M, led by Ari Ben-Menashe, reported contacting the offices of the Saudi Crown Prince and the President of Israel regarding the secession agenda. However, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has prohibited funding for these activities, citing provisions that target the country's constitutional order.
