Balkan region sees infrastructure and educational developments

Various regional developments are underway across the Balkans, focusing on infrastructure, education, and political stability.

In Montenegro, the government has submitted two strategic projects to the United States to advance their bilateral agreement: the Adriatic-Ionian Corridor and a national cargo scanning and border control modernization project. The corridor aims to integrate transport, energy, and digital infrastructure across Albania, Croatia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Infrastructure projects are also progressing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a 7 km section of Corridor Vc near Tešanj has opened, though work on the remaining 21 km remains stalled. In Goražde, construction continues on a sports facility for NK Azot. In Serbia, President Aleksandar Vučić addressed political tensions, stating he will not leave the country despite opposition claims.

Educational and technological investments are being made in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. A school in Lužani has completed a €1.6 million energy renovation, and POU Čakovec is investing in learning technologies. In Brod, a new gaming and IT center is being developed to support local startups. Meanwhile, in Popovača, a Catholic high school is expanding its facilities to accommodate more students.
