Milorad Kostić to promote new poetry collection in Sarajevo

Bosnian-Herzegovinian writer and historian Milorad Kostić is promoting his latest poetry collection, ‘Arabeska snova’ (Arabesque of Dreams). The official Sarajevo promotion is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at the Art kuća Sevdaha in Baščaršija.

The collection, which was developed over the past five to six years, includes a title poem that received the ‘KNS Pero’ literary award. Reviewer Idriz Hodžić has described the work as a masterpiece of Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature. Kostić, who holds a degree in history, is known for blending poetic sensibility with analytical historical perspectives in his works.

Kostić has previously received recognition for his prose, including an award from the Association of Bosnian Artists for his novel ‘Dioklecijan i Aleksandra-Zveket mačeva’. He noted that while poetry requires brevity, its purpose is to serve as a universal path to beauty and to inspire the reader.
