Greek long jumper Miltiadis Tendoğlu recorded an 8.66 m jump at the recent Panhellenic Championships in Volos, equalling the national record and earning 1 370 points in the World Athletics long‑jump ranking. The result returned him to the top of the World Ranking, overtaking Italy’s Matteo Furlani (1 368 points). The ranking is calculated from the average of each athlete’s five best performances over the past year, combining result scores and placing scores. Tendoğlu’s surge follows a period of injury setbacks after the Tokyo World Championships, and his new total places him ahead of other leaders such as Bulgaria’s Bozhidar Sarambogiev (1 332 points) and Switzerland’s Simon Echer (1 326 points).
