Milton Nascimento honored with massive mural in Belo Horizonte

A massive 1,600-square-meter mural has been unveiled in downtown Belo Horizonte to honor the legendary Brazilian singer and composer Milton Nascimento. Located on Avenida Álvares Cabral, the artwork was created by artist Kaká Chazz as part of the 20th edition of the ‘Fábrica de Graffiti’ project.

The mural depicts Nascimento at different stages of his career, incorporating cultural references such as ‘sertão’, ‘nu’, ‘Bituca’, and ‘Três Pontas’. The project aims to bring color and life to urban spaces through large-scale street art.

This tribute follows recent academic recognition for the musician, who was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in recognition of his profound impact on Brazilian and Mineiro culture.
