Miltos Tentoglou clinches 8.31 m long jump victory in Budapest
Greek long jumper Miltos Tentoglou won the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting in Budapest, sealing first place with an 8.31‑metre jump on his final attempt. The performance came after a progression of 7.88 m, 8.12 m, 8.18 m and 8.19 m, allowing him to overtake rivals Anvarov of Uzbekistan and Germany’s Simon Batz, both recorded at 8.12 m.
Tentoglou’s winning jump placed him just three centimetres shy of the meeting record (8.34 m) and kept him on pace to challenge the Greek national record of 8.66 m set by Louis Tsatoumas in 2007. The victory underscores his strong form ahead of upcoming international competitions.
