Milutin Osmajic set to join Genoa from Preston North End

Milutin Osmajic is set to transfer from Preston North End to the Italian Serie A side Genoa. The deal is reported to be worth approximately €2.5 million plus performance-related bonuses.

Osmajic, a 27-year-old Montenegro international, has arrived in Italy to undergo medical examinations. If the tests are successful, he is expected to sign a contract at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris running until June 2029.

His tenure at Preston North End was marked by significant disciplinary issues. These included an eight-game ban in 2024 for biting a Blackburn Rovers defender and a nine-game ban following allegations of racial abuse toward a Burnley midfielder, an incident Osmajic denied. He originally joined Preston in September 2023 as a record signing.
