Milwaukee Brewers adjust bullpen, select Lyon Richardson

The Milwaukee Brewers have made adjustments to their bullpen, selecting the contract of right-hander Lyon Richardson from Triple-A Nashville. In a corresponding move, the team has designated Bryse Wilson for assignment.

Wilson, who has experienced multiple designations for assignment this season with the Phillies and Cubs before joining Milwaukee, maintains a 4.24 ERA over 23 1/3 innings in 2026. Richardson, a former second-round pick by the Reds, joins the active roster after posting a 4.20 ERA and a 22% strikeout rate in 30 innings with Nashville.

Additionally, the Brewers confirmed that outfielder Sal Frelick has been sent on a rehabilitation assignment. This latest roster change marks the 32nd pitcher to appear on the Brewers' active roster this season, matching the total number of pitchers used by the club during the entire 2025 season.
