Milwaukee Brewers beat Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 on Jake Bauers' seventh‑inning homer

On July 5, 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona, Milwaukee first baseman Jake Bauers hit a two‑run home run in the seventh inning off Diamondbacks left‑hander Eduardo Rodríguez, giving the Brewers a 3‑2 lead. The homer came on Rodríguez’s 100th pitch of the game and was Bauers’ 16th of the season, putting the Brewers ahead for good.

Milwaukee starter Brandon Sproat allowed one run over four innings, and the bullpen limited Arizona to two runs in the final innings. Trevor Megill recorded his 13th save. The Diamondbacks’ early scoring came on back‑to‑back doubles by Geraldo Perdomo and Corbin Carroll, but they could not mount a comeback after Bauers’ blast.
