Milwaukee Brewers deal with pitcher injuries as Sproat exits with cramp and Woodruff slated to return

Right‑hand pitcher Brandon Sproat left his start against the Cleveland Guardians in the fourth inning after a hamstring cramp forced him to the mound. He said the cramp was uncomfortable but expected to be fully available for his next start, and team trainer Brad Epstein confirmed no long‑term impact.

Separately, manager Pat Murphy announced that right‑hander Brandon Woodruff, who has missed most of the season with a shoulder injury, will rejoin the Brewers’ rotation during the upcoming Cincinnati series.
