Milwaukee Bucks reshape roster after Giannis trade, add first‑round picks and new contracts

The Milwaukee Bucks completed a blockbuster trade that sent franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat. In return the Bucks received veteran guard Tyler Herro, forward Jaime Jaquez Jr., rookie forwards Kel'el Ware and Kasparas Jakucionis, plus multiple first‑round draft picks, a second‑round pick and a future pick‑swap. Through the trade the Bucks acquired three first‑round selections for the 2026 draft, including the Heat’s No. 13 pick. With the No. 10 slot they chose guard Brayden Burries from Arizona. Burries impressed in the 2026 Summer League, averaging 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting 50 % from the field, earning a place on the All‑Summer League First Team. Bucks coaches praised his scoring and playmaking, noting his potential as the team looks to rebuild toward future contention.
