Milwaukee men charged federally in explosives and drug cases

Luqman Kattoum, a 21‑year‑old from Milwaukee, entered a plea agreement to plead guilty to a misdemeanor count of unlawful storage of explosives after a Milwaukee Police Department street‑takeover investigation led ATF agents to a cache of commercial mortar shells, flash devices and homemade mortars in his family garage. The plea recommends 12 months of probation with no fine.

A separate case involved a 46‑year‑old Milwaukee man who was federally indicted after a Fond du Lac County traffic stop uncovered 7.2 g of cocaine, over 1.6 lb of methamphetamine, 53 g of MDMA and nearly $1,000 in cash. The man, on parole for a prior heroin conviction, faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to 15 years in prison.
