Milwaukee Panthers defeat Bowling Green men's soccer 1-0
The Bowling Green State University men’s soccer team suffered a 1-0 defeat against the Milwaukee Panthers on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Engelmann Stadium. The match was decided in the final seconds when Milwaukee’s Praise Ogwu scored a goal in the 90th minute, capitalizing on a rebound after an AJ Wild header was blocked by a Bowling Green defender.
Despite the loss, the Falcons (1-5-1) showed offensive activity, recording eight shots on goal and nine corner kicks, compared to Milwaukee’s seven shots on goal and one corner kick. Both teams finished the match with 16 total shot attempts. Bowling Green goalkeeper Enzo Gil recorded four saves, while Milwaukee’s Carson Pridie made eight saves.
The Falcons will continue their road trip on Sept. 19 against the Mercyhurst Lakers in Erie, Pennsylvania, before returning home to face Western Michigan on Sept. 25.
