Milwaukee police officer charged with sexual assault

Nathan Enk, a 33-year-old officer with the Milwaukee Police Department, has been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct following an incident at a South Milwaukee bar.

According to court filings, the incident occurred on September 21, 2026, at The Tap Room while Enk was off-duty. Prosecutors allege that after being escorted out of the establishment, Enk approached a woman, grabbed her breasts, and made repeated verbal demands. During police interviews, Enk allegedly denied groping the victim, instead stating, ‘I did not grope her, I slapped her a--.’

Enk, who has been with the department for over seven years, pleaded not guilty during his first court appearance on October 7. He has been placed on full suspension by the Milwaukee Police Department. A court commissioner set a $5,000 signature bond, and Enk is scheduled to return to court later this month. If convicted of the sexual assault charge, he faces up to nine months in jail and $10,000 in fines.
