Milwaukee promotes digital tool management in construction
A new whitepaper from Milwaukee explores the digital transformation of tool management within the construction industry. The report highlights that while manufacturing has widely adopted Industry 4.0 concepts, many construction firms still rely on manual processes or spreadsheets to manage machinery and tools.
Digital tool management aims to increase productivity and economic efficiency by addressing issues such as tool location transparency, unplanned downtime, and resource planning. Using Milwaukee’s One-Key system as an example, the whitepaper demonstrates how Bluetooth tracking, geofencing, barcode scanning, and digital inventory management can centralize the oversight of equipment across multiple locations. These digital tools allow for automated maintenance reminders and the use of usage data to inform future procurement and resource planning decisions.
