Milwaukee rappers Lil Sheisty and Funny $Money killed in studio shooting

Two Milwaukee rappers were killed in a shooting at a recording studio on Monday afternoon, August 17. The victims have been identified as 21-year-old Daquaiseon Evans, known professionally as Lil Sheisty, and 33-year-old Quentene Williams, known as Funny $Money.

Police responded to a building near 31st Street and Cameron Avenue around 3:40 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Both men were pronounced deceased at the scene from gunshot wounds. A 28-year-old individual has been arrested in connection with the double homicide, though authorities have not yet released a motive or specific details regarding the suspect's identity. The case has been referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.

Williams was considered a veteran of the local hip-hop scene, while Evans was described by family as an up-and-coming artist and a father of three. The shooting has significantly impacted the local music community.
