Milwaukee woman charged with impersonating substitute teacher
Amy Jones, a 23-year-old former student, has been charged with impersonating a public employee and five counts of exposing a child to harmful descriptions following an incident at Rufus King International High School in Milwaukee.
According to criminal complaints, Jones entered the school on September 24 by posing as a substitute teacher. She took charge of students for two class periods after school staff failed to perform a required check to verify her assignment. During her time in the classroom, students reported that Jones used racial slurs, profane language, and sexually inappropriate remarks, and made insults regarding their appearance and financial status. She also reportedly asked students about possession of marijuana or vapes.
