Mimecast introduces AI agent governance and threat response tools

Mimecast has introduced two new platform extensions at the Black Hat conference to address the security risks associated with uncontrolled artificial intelligence activities.

The company is launching a beta version of the Mimecast Agent Risk Center, designed to provide enterprise-wide detection, monitoring, and governance of AI agents. This tool aims to help security teams identify which agents are active, what data they access, and who is responsible for their actions.

Additionally, Mimecast is expanding its Managed Threat Response service. This 24/7 managed service combines AI-powered triage with expert-verified remediation actions to address unhandled security alerts. These developments come as research indicates that 98 percent of companies are already using unauthorized AI tools.
