MIMESIS wins Best Multiplayer Horror at Japan Horror Game Awards
MIMESIS, a cooperative horror game developed by ReLU Games under KRAFTON, has won the Best Multiplayer Horror award at the Japan Horror Game Awards 2026. The title was the only Korean game recognized among the award winners.
The game utilizes AI technology to drive NPC monsters that mimic the appearances, voices, and behaviors of players, creating tension and distrust during cooperative play. Following its Steam Early Access launch on October 27, 2025, MIMESIS reached 1 million cumulative copies sold within 50 days and has since surpassed 2 million copies.
ReLU Games CEO Minjung Kim stated that the award validates the studio's efforts to integrate AI into the core structure of the gameplay to create unique experiences.
