Mimì Denisí considers potential move into politics

Greek actress and author Mimì Denisí has expressed openness to a potential future in active politics. In a recent interview with journalist Sasa Stamati for the Secret supplement of Parapolitika, Denisí discussed the intersection of her art and political engagement.

Denisí noted that while she currently performs political acts through theater and writing, she believes in the efficacy of cultural diplomacy. She expressed criticism of the current Greek political climate, stating it lacks a specific vision for the country beyond general economic improvement. While acknowledging the presence of capable politicians across the spectrum, she remarked, ‘Perhaps the time has come for me to involve myself in politics. And if I do, it will only be because I feel I have something to offer.’

Additionally, the actress commented on the toxicity of social media, citing an increase in malice, jealousy, and gossip. She emphasized that the love and connection of her audience remain her greatest professional rewards.
