Mimie Mathy to discuss mobility challenges in TF1 interview
French actress Mimie Mathy, widely known for her role in ‘Joséphine, ange gardien’, will appear in a featured portrait on the TF1 program ‘Sept à Huit’ on August 30, 2026. For the first time, the 69-year-old actress will openly address her mobility challenges and show her use of a wheelchair.
Mathy, who lives in Vaison-la-Romaine, Provence, will host journalist Audrey Crespo-Mara at her home. The interview will cover her adaptation to her new daily reality caused by achondroplasia, which has significantly impacted her ability to walk. Despite these physical constraints, Mathy expressed a desire to continue her professional career and has even considered integrating her wheelchair into future acting projects.
The report will also feature her husband, winemaker Benoist Gérard, and provide a glimpse into her life in Provence. This public transparency follows previous instances of concern from fans, including her absence from the ‘Les Enfoirés’ event earlier in the year due to her health.
