Mimika Regency prepares 30th anniversary and accelerates fund administration

The Mimika Regency Government is preparing for the 30th anniversary of the regency, which will be held with a simple and solemn concept. Dr. Ir. Yohana Paliling, Expert Staff for Law, Politics, and Government, stated that the preparations involve coordination meetings with various Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) to ensure the event serves as a moment of reflection and prayer regarding the region's 30-year development.

In a separate administrative push, Yohana Paliling has urged all OPDs to expedite financial administration, specifically the distribution of 2026 Special Autonomy (Otsus) funds and Additional Infrastructure Funds (DTI). She noted that several departments have missed deadlines for completing necessary budget drafts and fund disbursements.

Additionally, Paliling issued a warning regarding the discipline of Civil Servants (ASN) and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK). She characterized the neglect of morning assemblies and daily duties as a form of “time corruption” that hinders public service and harms the community.
