Mina Stanković sets multiple Serbian race walking records
Serbian race walker Mina Stanković has established herself as the most successful athlete in the history of Serbian race walking. At 20 years old, she holds multiple senior national records, including the 3,000m indoor, 5,000m, 10,000m, 20km, and the half-marathon (21.0975km).
Stanković recently achieved a personal best in Izmir with a time of 1:37:18 in the half-marathon. She noted that her success in the 10km discipline, which earned her the top spot on the world rankings in her category, was particularly challenging due to the requirement for intense physical and mental stability.
Reflecting on her competitive experience, Stanković cited her fourth-place finish at the 10,000m event in Tampere—where she set a national record of 44:35.66—as a pivotal moment that built her confidence to compete against elite international athletes.
