Gino Paoli to release final unreleased track intended for Ornella Vanoni

Italian singer-songwriter Gino Paoli is releasing his final unreleased track, ‘Quando ti rivedrò’. The song was originally intended to be a duet with Ornella Vanoni, but she passed away shortly before the recording could take place.

To honor her memory and fill the void left by her absence, Paoli collaborated with jazz musician Paolo Fresu, who provides trumpet and brass accompaniment. The release is scheduled for September 23, falling on the night between the birthdays of Paoli and Vanoni.

The track is part of a new edition of Paoli’s collection, ‘Appunti di un lungo viaggio’, published by Sugar. The physical release, including vinyl and CD, will be available in stores starting September 25.

In a separate announcement, artist Mina is set to release a new album titled ‘Dilettevoli inedite eccedenze’ on October 9. The album features ten previously unreleased interpretations of songs recorded between the 1970s and 2026, including a cover of Pino Daniele’s ‘Vento di passione’.
