Minas Gerais and United Arab Emirates strengthen economic ties

The Government of Minas Gerais and the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Brazil are strengthening economic dialogue to explore new opportunities for trade, investment, and long-term strategic partnerships. A delegation from Minas Gerais met with Sharif Essa Al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to Brazil, to present the state's economic potential.

During the meeting, Minas Gerais Secretary-General Luiz Otávio Gonçalves and State Secretary for Economic Development Mila Costa formally delivered an official letter inviting a UAE delegation to visit the state. This proposed visit aims to facilitate direct engagement between UAE representatives and local government authorities, institutions, and companies.

Discussions focused on several key sectors, including infrastructure, logistics, aviation, energy, sustainable fuels, agribusiness, food security, mining, technology, and innovation. The partnership seeks to leverage Minas Gerais's diversified industrial base and technological ecosystem to build commercial ties with the UAE and, through it, access markets in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
