Minas Gerais announces professional training and apprenticeship opportunities
Various professional qualification and apprenticeship opportunities have been announced in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Through the National Program for Access to Technical Education and Employment (Pronatec), the Ministry of Education is offering 299 free ‘green jobs’ courses. These programs, focused on environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation, are provided by the Federal Institute of North Minas Gerais (IFNMG) and the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). Available courses include biodigester operation, biofuel production, photovoltaic system installation, and electric vehicle maintenance, distributed across municipalities such as Almenara, Diamantina, Florestal, Arinos, and Januária.
Additionally, DME has opened registration for an apprenticeship selection process in partnership with SENAI. The program aims to hire apprentices for administrative roles, with hiring expected to begin in the first half of 2027. Candidates must be between 16 and 24 years old and have completed or be currently enrolled in high school. Registration is free and remains open until October 9.
