Minas Gerais authorities protest delayed highway repairs

Local authorities and community leaders protested at the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais (ALMG) regarding the precarious state of several highways and unfulfilled government promises for improvements.

Specific problematic stretches include the routes between Catas Altas and Alvinópolis, Caputira and Raul Soares, Marilac and Nacip Raydan, and Itaverava and Lamim. Issues reported include deep potholes, mud, dust, and flooding, which hinder commerce and access to essential services.

A representative from the State Department of Highways (DER-MG) confirmed that no service orders have been issued to begin interventions in any of the mentioned sections.
