Brazil coffee exports hit record high in August

Brazil achieved a record volume of coffee exports in August, shipping 4.155 million 60kg bags. This represents a 31% increase compared to August 2025, according to the Coffee Exporters Council of Brazil (Cecafé). Total revenue reached R$ 6.83 billion, a 19.8% annual increase, though the average price per bag was lower than the previous year.

This export surge creates significant market space for the upcoming harvest in Minas Gerais, Brazil’s largest producer. The Faemg Senar system estimates the state's Arabica coffee production will reach 33.4 million bags in 2026, a figure higher than previous projections from Conab and IBGE. In the Cerrado Mineiro region, the Arabica harvest is nearing completion, with approximately 99% of the work finished in certain cooperative areas.

In the state of Rondônia, coffee and corn have gained prominence in the export portfolio. While beef and soy remain the dominant commodities for the year, August saw coffee account for US$ 34 million in exports, representing 13.4% of the state's monthly total. Egypt emerged as a primary buyer for Rondônia's agricultural products during this period.
