Governor Mateus Simões appoints Gustavo Braga as Minas Gerais Education Secretary

Governor Mateus Simões named career public servant Gustavo Braga as the new Secretary of State for Education in Minas Gerais. The swearing‑in took place in Sete Lagoas during the provisional capital transfer program “Governo Presente.” Braga brings experience from senior roles in the state government, including chief of staff positions in the Secretariat of Government and the Secretariat of Planning and Management.

The ceremony is part of a series of visits to 19 municipalities aimed at strengthening ties with local communities and advancing the state’s education policies.

Keywords such as “Trilhas de Futuro” and the broader “Governo Presente” initiative were also mentioned as ongoing efforts to expand educational opportunities and professional training throughout Minas Gerais.
