Minas Gerais fashion events drive regional industry growth
The fashion industry in Minas Gerais is seeing significant activity through major regional events. The 36th edition of Minas Trend, organized by the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (FIEMG), is scheduled to take place from October 20 to 22 at BH Shopping in Belo Horizonte. The event, themed ‘Made in Minas’, aims to generate over R$ 40 million in business and expects to host more than 5,000 visitors across 191 stands featuring 100 brands. The showcase focuses on the autumn/winter 2027 season, covering apparel, children's fashion, footwear, bags, and jewelry.
Specialized segments include Minas Trend Kids, featuring 21 brands for children and youth, and the Moda Alagoas runway, which promotes creative exchange between different Brazilian production hubs.
Additionally, the Lafaiete Fashion Week is launching in Conselheiro Lafaiete. This initiative seeks to strengthen the regional market by bringing together brands, models, stylists, and retailers. The program will include diverse runway shows covering women's, men's, children's, and plus-size fashion to foster networking and commercial partnerships within the local fashion chain.
