Minas Gerais festivals open paid slots for local artists

The 10th edition of the Festival Grito in Divinópolis (MG) will run on 21–22 August and invites artists and bands to apply for three paid slots on its main stage. Two slots are reserved for performers from the Centro‑Oeste region of Minas Gerais with a R$2,500 fee per show, while a third slot is open to any Minas Gerais act and carries a R$5,000 fee. Selected groups will also receive professional stage, sound, lighting, backstage and audiovisual support.

The Feira Astral in Contagem (MG) is scheduled for 22 August from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Praça da Jabuticaba. Organisers will subsidise chosen exhibitors with R$170 and provide stalls, prioritising diversity and inclusion of Black people, women, persons with disabilities and those in social vulnerability. The fair will feature music, workshops, children’s activities, artistic interventions and a special Sarau Astral, with accessibility services such as sign‑language interpretation and subtitles.
