Minas Gerais Governor visits specialized inclusion school in Betim

The Governor of Minas Gerais, Mateus Simões, visited the Geny Carvalho Trindade Specialized Municipal School in Betim to review a new model for inclusive education. The visit included the State Secretary of Education, Daniel Guimarães Medrado, and aimed to evaluate the 'Betim Inclusiva' public policy as a potential reference for the state's educational network.

Inaugurated recently, the school is part of the CIDADE center and is designed to provide intensive, individualized support for students with disabilities and neurodivergence. The facility features 30 classrooms, sensory gardens, and specialized spaces for multidisciplinary teams. The program utilizes specialized teachers, reduced class sizes, and Individual Development Plans (PDI) tailored to each student's specific needs.
