Minas Gerais health workers mobilize for cost-of-living adjustment

Health workers in Minas Gerais are participating in a state-wide mobilization to demand an adjustment to their cost-of-living allowance. The movement, which includes workers from the State Health System and IPSEMG, is seeking to bring the benefit to at least R$ 150, a level currently granted to environmental sector employees.

Protesters are calling for parity with other state administration sectors that have recently received significant increases. In addition to the allowance adjustment, the workers are demanding salary recomposition, equal treatment across state services, and greater professional valuation. The movement has indicated the possibility of a strike to pressure the Minas Gerais government for a concrete solution.
