Minas Gerais investor loses R$ 8 million farm in failed documentary project

An investor has lost a farm in Minas Gerais valued at R$ 8 million after acting as a guarantor for a US$ 300,000 loan. The credit was intended for a documentary project proposed by businesswoman Roberta Luchsinger, a friend of Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, son of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The project, which aimed to produce a film about designer Horacio Pagani with a total budget of US$ 4 million, failed to secure promised financing from a Bahraini fund. Consequently, the loan installments were not paid, leading to a judicial decision that resulted in the loss of the investor's property.

Luchsinger is currently facing multiple legal claims in São Paulo and Minas Gerais involving unpaid debts for services, school fees, and clothing. Furthermore, she is mentioned in a Federal Police investigation looking into corruption and influence peddling involving connections to former presidential chief of staff Marco Aurélio Ribeiro and lobbyist Antônio Carlos Camilo Antunes.
