Minas Gerais projects named finalists for National Fiscal Education Prize 2026
Three projects from Minas Gerais have been selected as finalists for the 14th edition of the National Fiscal Education Prize 2026. The state's initiatives are competing in the Institutions, Technology, and Press categories.
This year's competition saw a record 564 entries nationwide, with Minas Gerais contributing 51 submissions. The prize, created by the National Association of State Tax Inspectors (Febrafite), aims to promote the social function of taxes, fiscal citizenship, transparency, and social control of public spending.
The award ceremony is scheduled for December 8 in Brasília, where more than R$ 100,000 in prizes will be distributed. Vinicius Castanheira, coordinator of the Fiscal Education Division of the Minas Gerais State Treasury, noted that the state's presence in the finals reaffirms its leadership in promoting fiscal education.
