Minas Gerais workers prioritize language and technology studies

Workers in Minas Gerais are increasingly prioritizing language studies and technology courses to remain competitive in a changing professional landscape. According to a survey by Unico Skill, these two sectors accounted for 25.7% and 19.6% of enrollments, respectively, between January 2025 and June 2026.

English remains the most sought-after language, making up 86.7% of language enrollments. Other languages studied include Spanish, French, Italian, and German. The data shows a massive surge in interest, with language course enrollments growing by 943% in the first half of 2026 compared to the previous year, while technology education demand rose by 794% over a twelve-month period.

The Unico Skill study is based on data from over 180 companies—including Bradesco, iFood, and Bayer—that provide education benefits to more than 500,000 employees across Brazil.
