Mind Summit to address workplace mental health in São Paulo
The Mind Summit will take place in São Paulo on September 16 and 17, focusing on mental health within the professional environment, with a specific emphasis on burnout.
Curator Adriana Drulla, a psychologist and economist, argues that many managers mistakenly attempt to mitigate employee stress through superficial solutions, such as providing leisure areas with ping-pong tables or arcade games. Drulla suggests these measures often fail because they transfer the responsibility for well-being to the individual rather than addressing organizational and social roots, such as accelerated workflows, labor division, and hierarchical dynamics.
The event aims to promote the idea of a ‘performance infrastructure,’ suggesting that mental well-being is inseparable from labor activities and essential for business profitability. The program includes unprecedented training sessions and workshops designed to help professionals improve work design, manage demands, and consolidate management rituals.
