Mindanao weather advisory warns of flash floods and landslides

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a weather advisory for Mindanao, warning of potential flash floods and landslides. Most parts of the region are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and localized thunderstorms over a 24-hour period starting September 2, 2026.

Forecasted weather conditions include rain showers or thunderstorms across the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). PAGASA advised residents in flood-prone areas and near steep slopes to remain alert, as severe thunderstorms could trigger sudden environmental hazards.
