MindFormers festival begins in Sfântu Gheorghe

The second edition of the MindFormers festival, an interdisciplinary event focusing on science, technology, and culture, is taking place from September 16 to 19 at the former Cigarette Factory in Sfântu Gheorghe. Under the theme ‘The Future Doesn’t Just Happen, We Shape It’, the festival features a diverse lineup of physicists, researchers, psychologists, artists, musicians, athletes, and actors.

The program includes scientific conferences, interactive workshops, exhibitions, and musical performances. More than 3,500 students have already registered for over 50 programs specifically designed for school audiences. While participation for students and teachers is free upon prior registration, the event is open to the general public during the afternoons and evenings.

Notable participants include director Andrei Şerban, who will discuss his artistic career, and Dr. Andrea Amza-Andras, Chargé d'Affaires of the Romanian Embassy in Austria, who will participate in a discussion regarding modern diplomacy. Additionally, actor Alex Bogdan is scheduled to present a performance inspired by his experiences with gambling addiction. Due to personal reasons, referee István Kovács has postponed his appearance until November.
