Mine City to open Forest Adventure facility in 2027

A new outdoor adventure facility, tentatively named ‘Forest Adventure Akiyoshidai’, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2027 within the Akiyoshidai Family Travel Village in Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

The project aims to attract tourists by utilizing the natural landscape of the area, which is recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark. The facility will feature three courses designed to leverage the existing forest, including a zip line that glides over the karst plateau and various treetop obstacle courses.

The total project cost is estimated at 160 million yen. The facility will be operated by Tokyo-based Forest Adventure, which currently manages 45 locations across Japan. This marks the company’s first venture into the Yamaguchi Prefecture.
