Minecraft Dungeons 2 reveals new dimension and release date

Mojang Studios and Double Eleven have released new gameplay footage and details for Minecraft Dungeons 2, which is scheduled for release on September 29, 2026. The sequel will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

A central feature of the new title is the introduction of The Sift, a mysterious new dimension accessible through rifts appearing in the Overworld. This dimension will serve as a primary setting for the campaign, featuring diverse landscapes and new threats that players must combat to prevent chaos across two worlds.

Gameplay improvements include enhanced character customization with various classes, weapons, and armor, as well as more dynamic combat mechanics. The game supports solo play and up to four-player cooperative modes, both online and local. Pre-orders are currently available, offering exclusive cosmetic items such as the Twisted cape and specific hero skins.
