Minecraft receives update with new Minecraft Realms configuration features
Mojang Studios has released Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 Snapshot 9, which introduces new configuration options for Minecraft Realms. The update focuses on providing players with greater control over multiplayer environments by separating render distance and simulation distance settings.
Realm owners can now adjust these settings independently, with the ability to increase render distance up to 25 chunks. This allows players to enhance visual range while managing simulation distance to prevent excessive hardware load. The update also includes various technical bug fixes for previous versions.
Additionally, players can customize their gameplay experience through resource packs, also known as texture packs. These packs allow for visual changes ranging from subtle enhancements, such as the Nature X pack which adds environmental detail, to high-resolution upgrades like the Faithful pack, which maintains the original aesthetic with improved clarity.
