Minehead and Timsbury claim victories in regional English cricket leagues

Minehead First XI defeated Bridgwater in the Somerset Cricket League Premier Division, posting a 111‑run win after the hosts were bowled out for 142. Anan Rajan recorded his maiden five‑wicket haul (5‑32) and the chase was anchored by Ian Buchanan and Andrew Stevens.

In the Bristol and District League, Timsbury overcame promotion‑hopeful Bath Thirds by 46 runs, posting 309‑4 in 40 overs. Mark Sage led the batting with a century (103) and the side was supported by Gary Pearcy, Kev Sibley (72) and Freddie Hosford (55). Timsbury's bowlers, particularly Pearcy with figures of 4‑38, dismissed Bath to seal the win.
