Mineral Resources receives credit upgrade as Krompachy plant avoids insolvency

Mineral Resources has received a credit rating upgrade to ‘BB’ with a stable outlook from Fitch Ratings. This follows a $765-million agreement to sell a 15% interest in its Wodgina and Mt Marion lithium assets to Posco Holdings. The sale is expected to significantly reduce the Australian mining group's leverage, with net leverage projected to drop from 7.7 times in fiscal 2025 to 2.7 times in fiscal 2026.

In Slovakia, the insolvency of a manufacturing plant in Krompachy has been averted. A multi-party asset rescue involving incoming industrial operators will preserve production lines and approximately 200 jobs, preventing a major regional economic disruption.
