Ming and Royal Selangor Launch Limited‑Edition Pewter‑Dial Watch

Ming has partnered with historic pewter maker Royal Selangor of Kuala Lumpur to produce the MING 37.06 Royal Selangor, a limited‑edition watch of 88 pieces. The timepiece features a hammered pewter dial crafted by hand, a grade‑2 titanium case measuring 38 mm in diameter, weighs 35.9 g, and offers 100 m water resistance. It is powered by a Sellita SW300 M1 automatic calibre with roughly 50 hours of power reserve, and the case‑back bears the engraved marks of both brands. The watch is priced at CHF 5,000 and will be sold through Royal Selangor boutiques and Ming’s website beginning 6 August.

The collaboration stems from a meeting between Ming founder Ming Thein and Royal Selangor CEO Yong Yoon Li, leading to the first time Ming has performed final assembly locally in Kuala Lumpur. Royal Selangor, founded in 1885, is renowned for its hand‑crafted pewter objects, and this partnership combines its traditional craftsmanship with Ming’s contemporary watch design.
