Minga Guazú man arrested for stabbing elderly father
A 27-year-old man was arrested in Minga Guazú, Alto Paraná, after allegedly stabbing his 80-year-old father multiple times with a knife. The victim, identified as Rogelio Trinidad Peralta, was transported to a medical center where he remains in delicate condition.
The suspect, Jesús Daniel Trinidad Peralta, initially fled the scene but was apprehended by the National Police hours later. He reportedly confessed to the attack, stating he was under the influence of drugs and had been avoiding his father due to previous domestic violence reports filed by the elder.
Authorities noted that the suspect was already wanted on two arrest warrants for aggravated robbery and domestic violence. The Public Ministry is investigating the incident as an attempted intentional homicide.
