Mingsha Mountain sees massive tourist surge during National Day

During China's National Day holiday, the Mingsha Mountain and Yueyaquan Spring scenic area in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, experienced a massive influx of tourists. The crowds were so dense that visitors described the scene as if “hundreds of millions of people” had gathered.

To celebrate the holiday, the scenic area hosted a series of events themed “Brilliant Silk Road, Prosperous Era,” which included parades with costumed characters, musical performances, and drone shows. Tourists engaged in various desert activities, such as camel riding, which saw long lines of camels stretching for kilometers. Aerial footage captured thousands of visitors covering the mountain slopes, including a large-scale display of a red five-star flag formed by the crowd.
