Minh Xíu earns praise for role in drama Căn nhà không mái che

Child actor Minh Xíu is receiving significant praise for his performance in the television drama ‘Căn nhà không mái che’. Playing the role of Khang, the son of characters played by Huyền Lizzie and Doãn Quốc Đam, the 10-year-old actor has moved audiences with his portrayal of a child navigating a volatile domestic environment.

In the series, Khang’s character deals with a father struggling with alcoholism and gambling, as well as frequent domestic violence. The performance is noted for its emotional range, capturing Khang’s innocence and his unconditional love for his father despite the trauma witnessed. Key scenes, including Khang attempting to protect his mother from physical abuse and his emotional reaction to his parents' divorce, have been highlighted as particularly impactful.

To prepare for the role, Minh Xíu’s family reportedly increased his food intake to gain approximately 5 kg to meet the character's physical requirements.
